Salvaged SEIKO Radio Dial Clock Original Green

A truly one-of-a-kind piece of maritime history — this original Seiko Radio Dial clock was salvaged from a decommissioned vessel, where it once kept perfect time across oceans and time zones.

Manufactured in Japan circa the 1970s, these robust iron-cased Seiko clocks were fitted throughout ships as slave clocks, all connected by wire to the master clock in the captain's cabin. At the crossing of each time zone, the captain could update every clock on board simultaneously. We have converted this clock to run on a reliable, silent AA battery-powered quartz movement so it's ready to hang and enjoy straight away.

The raw, unpolished iron casing and distinctive radio dial face give this clock an industrial character that simply cannot be replicated. Each one is unique — a genuine artefact that has lived a life at sea.

Why Seiko?
In 1881, Kintarō Hattori of Tokyo founded what would become one of the world's most respected timekeeping brands. Seiko's reputation for precision and durability was so highly regarded that it became the official watch manufacturer for the Japanese military during World War II. These salvaged clocks are a testament to that enduring quality.
