Seiko Salvaged Ships Cabin Clock – Original teal Paint White Face Black Hands
A genuine piece of seafaring history — this Seiko salvaged ships cabin clock is one of our most versatile salvage finds, available in a choice of body and face colour combinations to suit your interior.
Originally a slave clock, it was wired to the master clock in the captain’s cabin so that every timepiece on board could be synchronised as the vessel crossed into a new time zone. We have converted each one to run on two reliable AA battery-powered Lotus quartz mechanisms part of the Festina watch brand Group. A small knob on each face unscrews to open the clock and reveal the mechanism.
In 1881, Kintarō Hattori from Tokyo introduced one of the first quartz watches. From then, Seiko became known as a world-class manufacturer of timepieces — both watches and clocks — and was the official supplier of watches to Japanese soldiers during World War II. The heritage behind every Seiko clock is unmatched.
