Salvaged Flameproof Marine Gas Alarm Light – Pale Blue with Glass Dome and Cage

A salvaged flameproof marine alarm light, labelled "Pump RM Gas Alarm" from the pump room of a ship. It has a heavy pale blue painted cast body, a clear glass dome and a protective wire cage, mounted on a base with two cable glands. The label identifies it as a flame proof type revolving light for outdoor use, dated 1998. A genuine piece of ship equipment with plenty of character, suited to bars, workshops, garages, hallways and industrial-style interiors.

Condition

Salvaged and in good original condition. The cage and body have paint chips, wear and a few red marks from marine use, and the original labels are intact. Supplied as the light body only; it has not been rewired or PAT tested, so we recommend having it fitted by a qualified electrician.
