Salvaged Brass Hanging Light with caged cover

A genuine ship's searchlight, decommissioned and reborn as a statement pendant light. Formed from spun sheet brass with a bell-shaped housing, it still carries the marks of its working life at sea, including the original hinged access plate and mounting holes on its side — proof of a history no reproduction piece can match.

The heavy caged glass lens on the underside was built to survive open-ocean conditions, giving it a rugged, industrial character suited to warehouse conversions, bars, restaurants, and any space built around genuine reclaimed pieces.

Sold as an unwired light body only. A qualified electrician should carry out rewiring and PAT testing before use.
