Maxxis Minion DHF 29 x 2.60 WT 3C Maxx Terra Folding EXO+ TR 120 TPI
The Maxxis Minion DHF is the tyre that countless others have tried to copy. Whether you're charging rocky descents, threading through rooty woods or spending the day at the bike park, it delivers the kind of predictable grip that lets you concentrate on the trail rather than what's happening underneath you.
This version is built for modern trail and enduro bikes with a 29-inch wheel, a generous 2.60in Wide Trail profile and the tougher EXO+ casing. It offers noticeably more sidewall support and puncture resistance than standard EXO without the weight penalty of a full downhill casing. Tubeless Ready construction means lower pressures, more grip and fewer punctures.
The DHF's signature tread combines ramped centre knobs for surprisingly efficient rolling with chunky shoulder blocks that bite hard when you lean the bike over. It works brilliantly as a front tyre, often paired with a Minion DHR II or Dissector on the rear.

Why we like it
If you only know one mountain bike tyre, it's probably this one. The Minion DHF has earned its reputation over years of World Cup racing and everyday riding by being incredibly predictable. It grips when you need it, breaks away progressively when pushed too hard, and inspires confidence on almost any trail. It's still one of the benchmark front tyres available today.
