TRWOO (True Wood) is a Romanian furniture brand specializing in handcrafting unique pieces made from solid wood. Our concept reflects the use of natural wood, committing to keeping its genuine appearance without excessive processing. By preserving the woods natural form and adapting each design to tailor towards the original shape of the wood, it allows us to create truly unique one of a kind pieces every time.

Inspired by the Japanese aesthetic concept of “wabi-sabi,” our furniture embraces the beauty of imperfection and the natural authenticity of wood. Our design is timeless because nature does not follow fashion trends.

With over 30 years of experience in the wood industry, we have learned where and how to find the most spectacular wood pieces. We have acquired materials for hundreds of dining tables made from single wood slabs and continue to select exceptional walnut, oak, bog oak, burl poplar, olive, and other species of wood. We professionally prepare the wood, allowing it to air-dry naturally for 1-2 years before placing it in controlled-atmosphere kilns.

By using old trees, those reclaimed from swamps, or wood salvaged from old constructions, we reduce environmental impact and promote responsible resource use. Each piece is handcrafted through an artisanal process, without polluting industrial technologies, often using hand tools with an insignificant carbon footprint. We minimize waste and make full use of the wood’s structure making our product a sustainable choice. The finishing materials we use are eco-friendly, mainly plant-based oil extracts that protect the wood in the long term and allow for easy maintenance.
