Plant a Tree - Save a saddle from landfill

These "test" saddles were destined for landfill.

Not because there's anything wrong with them. They're genuine Selle San Marco test saddles.

The issue is cosmetic. The printed logos may rub off with use, and the lightweight cover material can show wear more quickly than a standard production saddle.

The manufacturer couldn't sell them.

We thought that was a terrible waste.

So we've rescued the lot.

For just £5, we'll plant a tree on the Indonesian island of Sumba through our reforestation project with our partner, Wira, and we'll send you a saddle.

Last month alone we planted 6,000 trees.

Wira has one ambition: to plant one million trees before he dies.

If we sell every one of these saddles, that'll fund another 1,000 trees.

7,000 planted. 993,000 to go.

What you'll receive

A genuine Selle San Marco test saddle.

The logos may fade or rub away over time, and the lightweight cover may show wear sooner than a regular retail saddle. Structurally they're sound and perfectly rideable—they simply weren't suitable for normal retail sale.

If you're looking for a pristine display piece, these probably aren't for you.

If you want a bargain and don't mind a saddle that tells a story, they're hard to beat.

Please note

No returns on this offer.

You're really buying a tree.

The saddle just happens to come with it.

It's probably the only time you'll spend £5, stop something going to landfill, help reforest an Indonesian island, and receive a genuine Selle San Marco saddle as an unexpected bonus.
