Sintered replacement disc brake pads from Clarks, using a high-carbon compound that stands up to heat, water and grit far better than a standard resin pad.

Sintered pads earn their keep on long descents, through winter, and on heavier bikes and e-bikes. Where a resin pad starts to fade as it heats, a sintered pad holds its bite. The trade-off is a slightly longer bed-in and a little more noise when cold and wet — a fair swap for the extra power and service life.

Clarks rate these for trail, competition and downhill use, and recommend them for hydraulic systems. Supplied as one pair, enough for a single calliper.

Red or bronze?

Both are the same pad — same VRX801C compound, same shape, same fitment. Clarks changed the backing plate finish partway through production, so we hold both. Pick whichever you prefer; they perform identically.
