Seiko Salvaged Ships Cabin Clock – Original Paint Black
A genuine piece of seafaring history — this Seiko salvaged ships cabin clock in original black paint carries the marks and patina of a life at sea, making every example truly one of a kind.
Manufactured circa 1970s, these clocks were originally slave clocks connected to the master clock in the captain’s cabin, synchronised across the vessel as it crossed time zones. We have converted each one to run on a reliable AA battery-powered silent quartz mechanism.
In 1881, Kintarō Hattori from Tokyo introduced one of the first quartz watches. From then, Seiko became known as a world-class manufacturer of timepieces and was the official supplier of watches to Japanese soldiers during World War II. The quality and heritage behind every Seiko clock is unmatched.
Please note: as these are genuine salvaged sea slave clocks with a long history at sea, the hands may vary slightly from those pictured. They may also show light marks and a little rust patina — all part of their unique seafaring history and charm.
