Marine Radio Co Nautical Clock MCS-972C – Original Paint

A classic of the marine salvage world — this Marine Radio Co MCS-972C nautical clock in original cream enamel paint was reclaimed from a decommissioned cargo ship dating circa the late 1980s, and retains the authentic character of a working life at sea.

The Marine Radio Co Ltd is based in Korea. These marine slave clocks were originally electrically connected to a master unit on board ship, keeping accurate time unaffected by the violent movements of the sea. The clock face features classic typography and clean proportions that sit equally well in a nautical interior, a study, or a contemporary living space.

We have converted this example to run on a reliable AA battery-powered silent quartz mechanism. A small knob on the side of the face unscrews to open the clock and reveal the mechanism.
