Citizen Maritime Vintage Wall Clock – Original Green
A genuine piece of maritime history — this Citizen vintage wall clock was originally installed as a slave clock aboard large ocean-going vessels, wired to the master clock in the captain’s cabin so that every timepiece on board could be synchronised as the ship crossed into a new time zone.
Manufactured in Japan in the 1980s, these clocks were built to Citizen’s exacting standards and have since sailed hundreds of thousands of kilometres across the world’s oceans. Each one has been recovered from ship-breaking yards and converted from its original slave connection to a reliable battery-powered quartz movement — ready to hang straight on your wall.
The original green finish, aged patina, and choice of gold or black-and-red hands give each clock a character that simply cannot be replicated. No two are identical.
Please note: as genuine salvaged sea clocks, hands may vary slightly from those pictured, and light marks or rust patina may be present — all part of their unique seafaring history and charm.
