Wild Roots Hardwood Turning Blocks

Solid exotic hardwood blanks for woodturning, carving and small woodworking projects.

Use a 150mm block for knife handles, candlesticks, tool handles, pens, knobs, small vessels, jewellery and other fine woodworking projects. Every piece has its own grain, colour and character.

Supplied through our partnership with Black Baron Woods and the tree hunters of Java, these pieces are made from salvaged trees, river wood and naturally fallen trees. Selected species may be stabilised in Java for greater hardness and stability.

Available species

• Rosewood: dense, dark and beautifully figured, supplied unstabilised.
• Java Wenge: dark, dense hardwood with strong grain and natural variation, supplied unstabilised.
• Curly Mango: lighter timber with distinctive figuring, stabilised for improved hardness and stability.

Size

Approximately 150 × 40 × 40mm. As these are pieces of recovered timber rather than factory-made blanks, exact dimensions and appearance vary from piece to piece.
