Citizen Maritime Double sided Vintage Wall Clock Black Marine Salvage

Double sided Clocks of all varieties are extremely popular. Most of these double sided clocks come from passenger boats from within the 1980's. This Clock comes both in its original maritime paint and also in a polished variant.

Citizen was founded in Tokyo, Japan in 1918 — originally as the Shokosha Watch Research Institute — and adopted the Citizen name in 1930. It has been one of Japan's leading watch and clock manufacturers ever since, known for reliable, precision quartz movements.

These were originally slave clocks and were all connected to the the master clock in the captain’s cabin so that he could change the time of every clock on board as the boat entered a new time zone we have converted these to run on two reliable AA battery powered silent quartz mechanisms. A small knob on each face will unscrew to open the sides of the clock face to unveil this.
