Salvaged Heyes of Wigan Flameproof Industrial Wall Light with Glass Dome and Cage – Vintage Ship Light
A genuine salvaged flameproof wall light by Heyes & Co Ltd of Wigan, reclaimed from a decommissioned vessel. A polished cast body, a deep clear glass dome and a protective wire cage give it the look of true ship's lighting, while the cast junction box carries the maker's name, "Heyes & Co Ltd Wigan", cast into the cover and again around the lamp ring. It is a heavy, handsome fitting that works as a wall or ceiling light in kitchens, bars, restaurants, hallways, stairwells, workshops, garages and any industrial or nautical-style interior.
Heyes of Water Heyes Works, Wigan, were makers of flameproof and explosion-proof industrial lighting for ships, mines and power stations, built for the harshest environments, including the marine world this light comes from.

Cleaned and polished, keeping the small marks, pitting and character of genuine ship salvage. Each light is individual, so the finish varies slightly. Sold as a light body only: it has not been rewired or PAT tested, and should be wired and tested by a qualified electrician before use.
