Salvaged Milky Glass Globe Ceiling Light – Blue Iron Base, Osaka 1976

A salvaged Japanese ceiling light with a smooth milky opal glass globe on a cast blue-painted iron base. The globe gives a soft, even, glare-free glow, and the compact, rounded shape works well as a hallway, porch, bathroom or kitchen light, or as a cluster of several. Salvaged from a ship, these lights were built for constant use at sea and are solidly made.

Condition

Good vintage condition with no visible cracks or chips to the glass. The blue paint has some chips and small patches of surface rust, mainly around the rim and base edges, which is part of the character of a piece that has spent decades at sea.
