Seiko Wooden Rectangular Salvaged Ship Clock
A rare find even within our Seiko salvage collection — this wooden rectangular Seiko clock was made in Japan and salvaged from a marine vessel, featuring the brand’s characteristic brass hands and numeral markers.
In 1881, Kintarō Hattori from Tokyo introduced one of the first quartz watches. From then, Seiko became known as a world-class manufacturer of timepieces — both watches and clocks — and was the official supplier of watches to Japanese soldiers during World War II. The quality and precision behind every Seiko piece is unmatched, and this wooden example is no exception.
The wooden case sets this clock apart from the metal slave clocks in our range, giving it a warmer, more refined character that suits a study, a library, or a nautical antiques collection.
